Alternator
The alternator generates the electrical current for the Fiat classic car. It is driven by the V-belt and induces current to supply the vehicle's electrical system and charge the battery. Depending on the model and year of manufacture, three-phase alternators as well as direct current alternators can be installed in Fiat classic cars.
For DC alternators, a separate alternator regulator must usually be installed; for three-phase alternators, it is usually connected to the alternator. If defects occur in the alternator, they can often be repaired with the right spare part. Even the alternator armature and the outer winding, but also smaller components such as the ball bearings and the alternator carbon can be replaced.
The pulleys and the fan wheel are mounted on the shaft of the alternator. The appropriate adapters are also available as spare parts.
