Starter motor
The starter motor of the Fiat classic car in conjunction with the car battery forms the starting system. The starter motor is attached to the transmission bell housing and turns the flywheel to start the engine. The starter is a stressed spare part that needs regular maintenance or repair. There is a wide range of spare parts available for this.
Often the starter pinion, the starter carbon or the spring for the carbon must be replaced. Likewise, the winding for the starter motor and the starter switch may have suffered damage. All connections of the starter and the engagement lever must be protected with a rubber cap. The battery is held in place in the vehicle with a battery bracket set. To prevent unwanted current flow and to preserve the battery, an extra battery switch should be installed and a trickle charge applied with the battery charger.
