Even if you use the more powerful 60/55 watt bulbs, we recommend this set to protect your steering column switch from overvoltage.
If you install the more powerful bulbs, a higher current flows through the steering column switch and this could be damaged at some point.
When using this set, only the lower control current flows via the steering column switch and the high operating current flows via the new relay.
This protects the steering column switch and improves the light (even if the normal 45/40 Watt bulbs are installed).
